Urban Maker
Explore / Create / Innovate
This project explores the category of art supplies, focusing on relief printing, particularly Linoleum and block carving tools. Through this packaging design, the users would be able to find value from the packaging as much as they do the contents as it assists with the art-making process. These types of packaging could offer convenience, limit the amount of waste and take on a new life, changing the way we create art and approach art supply packaging.

Gaps in the market for innovative packaging:
-
A seal-able container to avoid mess.
-
Made from environmentally friendly material that is both durable and reusable.
-
Offers a reusable design that enables the user to use the packaging beyond it’s original storage design, minimising waste and assisting with organisation.
-
Provides education and relevant product information. Education such as a step bystep guide on how to make a linocut print and/or correct product usage.
-
Explores a vibrant and modern colour palate, Linocut designed illustrative elements and Modern logo type.
-
Include a minimum of 6 different shaped cutters
-
Includes safety lid on each tool for personal protection and product protection during transportation.
-
Small Compact design for convince and transportability.
-
Could include add ons such as a complete printmaking kit with vinyl tiles, sharpeningstone, transfer paper, roller, ink, barren and paper.
