The Melbourne International
Jazz Festival
Project Proposal
Within this rebrand of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, I aimed to explore a more contemporary approach through the combination of artistic illustrations, stylised typefaces, and bold colours. From this, I had hoped to add both a refreshed feel to the brand and a stronger sense of the jazz identity and culture. The logo was influenced by the original brand which was purely typographic.

The Accompany illustrations not only add a sense of play, movement and artistry to the brand but also create a contemporary feel as the illustrations are high in contrast, rough in nature and minimal in representation. By pairing these elements with the crisp and strong typographic components, it creates a conceptually strong and visually appealing brand.

The branding for this project included a logo design, Accompanying illustrations, business cards, Tickets and Brochures Design, Merchandise designs such as tote bags and T-shirts and advertisement applications such as poster designs, Billboards, a mobile application and web banner designs.
